I sincerely believe that language is not just a skill, but a true passion. A passion for expression, a passion for emotion, and above all, the ability to build linguistic bridges on a global scale.

Thanks to my recent profession, I gathered fruitful translation skills while working as a dedicated linguist for a global localisation service provider that specialises in digital publishing, including e-books, magazines, marketing content, gaming, and e-learning services. My role as freelance linguist entailed the translation of high-quality local language content from English to German to ensure the final product resonates with the respective target audience.

Working remotely allowed me to perfect my independence regarding time management while meeting set deadlines in a most professional manner. Additionally, I learned to refine efficient, yet respectful teamwork skills with peers to establish a lasting connection between brand and customers.

My educational background in International Communications allowed me to broaden my horizon regarding intercultural sensitivity across marketing communications and public affairs. As a native German, I studied in the Netherlands which equipped me with fluent English skills and advanced Dutch skills. Furthermore, I did a minor in Journalism as my affection for writing, researching, and debating novel scholarly fields stood out particularly. Alongside with my studies, I conducted a six-month internship for a South African based NGO in Berlin while working as management assistant. My tasks covered website and marketing content translations, internal and external communications, branding, budgeting, as well as creative content creation.
