fter studies in Film, TV & Radio (BA Hons) and then Mass Media Communications (MA) in the UK, I went straight into journalism. Since 1996 I’ve worked for newspapers and magazines, and at the during the Athens Olympic Games of 2004 I moved to radio, where presenting my own live daily interview show on the municipal Athens International Radio 104.4FM. During my decade on the air I also worked as a fixer for major global news networks and in TV. Meanwhile, I continued writing as a freelancer for major publications like the Wall St Journal Europe, for several years, and Fodor’s travel guide, for which I recently renewed the Athens chapter.
In 2019 I co-wrote the internationally-marketed book ‘111 Places in Athens That You Shouldn’t Miss’ (EMONS), which presents some of the Greek capital’s most unique locations and sites and is aimed at eclectic travellers.
Copywriting has revealed to me that my obsession with the written word can unfold in exciting new ways. The variety of projects and their scope, the inspiration to connect with the client’s vision and agenda and generate out-of- the-box, creative and potent messaging, was a different universe.
Since 2006 I’ve also worked as a professional Voiceover Artist. Using my voice for all varieties of projects is one of my favourite ways to work, and I’m always up for a new vocal challenge. I’m also a skilled & engaging public speaker who addresses the audience with passion and humour.
